finally got to meet another CW

It was a great meet today....much bigger group than ever before.
I just wish today's meet was happen in the summer time so we can spend more time together (longer day-light).

Looking forward to see most of you guys next week at Lime Rock

and this happened after most everybody left but an FUGLY *** mustang 5.0 comes up to us and says "yo, anybody want to run?"

I saw a Civic on the highway acting stupid... I pulled off with Charlie to grab some food...that is one disadvantage of the meetings is that our meets sometimes (wait, all the time...) attract foolish drivers....ricers...guys in BMW convertibles... Soccer mom's... whatever...

I hope everyone had a good time. I kept things slow and reasonable because we had so many drivers.

Next meeting is Limerock (I think there will be about 10 honda-tech'ers up there)

Next Next meeting will probably be our second annual luncheon at that restaurant we ate at last January. When the temp is so cold, hanging outside is not that great.

before heading to the meet guys i went to sears, where this idiot ran me off the road (in my suv). he was driving a beat up old 1992 corolla with a little baby in the back.

I pull up to the red light with him and ask him "you know you just ran me off the road, right? "

his response "signal next time you want to enter my lane"

i said "I did..."

he said "you signaled and merged at the same time"

I said "uhm, i gave the usual 3 second grace delay which is more than most people do around here"

he said "learn how to drive"

I said "...and to think youre driving around like a maniac with a little kid in the back" (a baby) ... "if you want to drive like a moron and kill yourself, thats cool, but dont do that with a innocent baby in the back"

he said "hey mang, you want to settle this man to man?"

I said "what? (little chuckling) You dont want to do that. But pull over to the mall with me. I'll make you my personal hand puppet. Do you understand? I will beat you sillier than your mama ever did."

him "no, you come over here..."

me "where?"

him "right here..."

I get out of my car at the red light, and walk to his car, up to his window, (mean while he rolls up his window, and whips out some kind of cracker jack police badge). Me not caring I pound the living crap out of his window, telling him to get the **** out. he wants to settle this like cavemen, i have no problem beating on a tiny 110 5'5" guy.

he floored it as soon as the light turned green. meanwhile the girl right behind my car was honking her honda accord horn all along as soon as i hopped out of the car.

Yeah, it's always great to be amongst so many of you guys in traffic!

See many of you next week, some Sunday and a bunch on Monday. And Daves idea of the Second annual meeting where we met last year is a great idea. A first meet of the season, we can discuss upcoming events like the 2003 ITR Expo, race season and HPDE events.

Oscar that thing is Soo Friggen LOUD!!! Almost burst an eardrum...

the drive was pretty nice and all, but that far for a cold parking lot didnt make too much sense for me

but very well planned Dave and Rob.

 

BTW guys, I forgot to mention that I saw about 25 Corvettes cruising single file, North on the Taconic as I went to work this morning @ about 8AM...
Kinda put me in the mood.
Wonder though where "They" were headed.

I would have been there but traffic was unbearable so I turned back( NYC marathon)- Besides My R was not road worthy and It would have looked funny if a Green Olds 88 was in that picture...
