I have a JDM B16A in a 2000 EK Coupe, EX model fyi.
Check engine light has been on for a month now.
I've tried jumping the wires to see what its throwing, it didn't work.
Also used a OBD2 code reader and it still doesn't work.
By the looks of it, who ever did the swap used the d-series harness.
Not too sure if it's possible to use a d series harness for a b series because all of the swaps i've been a part of we just buy a new rywire harness.

 

exactly what wires are you jumping?

There's no reason NOT to just use the original harness when doing a B swap.

 

The 2 pin connector plug next to the ECU.
I usually just get a brand new harness just in cause things break, but its a OBD2a harness on a OBD1 engine.

 

bet it has an obd1 ecu in it.
but the "paper clip" method should've worked.

 

It has a 2000 SI ECU right now.

 

The ECU may be bad.
