My girlfriend has a 96 318i, black, exactly like yours. It is pretty nice, but DOGG slow. Definately would look better dropped and a few exterior mods. I don't really know what you used to drive, but good luck with the bimmer.

I dont know about used BMW's. I have a E46 myself. silver4dr with 19" hamann's, it looks good and all. but i swear to you, the maintenance is like 4 times with the BMW than the civic. Oil changes for one thing are all synthetic oil, 7 quarts.
oil filter is at least $14.00

had to change the brake pads, have to buy the pads, plus the brake pad sensor. My cost with a dealer discount for all the parts was already $80.00 good luck dood. just wanted to share my experience.

gotta love German...I just paid $13 for a 1.8t oil filter and $21 for a gallon of g12 coolant. Timing belt kit for $130 is considered cheap. The labor was quoted at $600. Good thing I have my own tools and knowledge.
