This sucks because I rarely drive her. I do have uninsured motorist but not sure if I should make a claim.
Would this be an easy fix? Has anyone had this experience before?

 

Hard to tell from the pictures, but is the bumper deformed as well or is it just the paint that's making it look like that?

Not sure. I would claim it under uninsured motorist.
Looked at it again this morning, its not to bad, but just a pain to deal with.

I'd find another bumper and move on.. not worth the claim or insurance hike.

This is why I keep spare body parts for mine, for the day it happens to me.

If you can't find another bumper a body shop with decent employees should be able to handle fixing your bumper, I can't see what's underneath but if the damage is limited to the bumper than it should be an easy fix, I've seen allot worse come out looking brand new afterwards.

Best of luck, I usually go through the range of emotions when something like this happens quick, shock,anger, sadness, then a rediculous urge to fix the car as quick as humanly possible.

I hope you bounce back quick. And I hope karma comes back to **** the person that hit you just as quickly.

 

Get a new bumper cover and re spray.

 

I have Progressive and I know filing an uninsured motorist claim with them won't raise your premium if you're not at fault. However the uninsured motorist claim can be a very long and drawn out process.

 

looks like an easy/quick fix, forget about insurance
