Default New Civic Type R at Nurburgring

Came across this post by Car Throttle today. Thought it was cool and worth sharing. The new CTR hits 168mph on the Nurburgring and sets a faster lap time than 8 RWD "Supercars."

Why compare a 2016 car to a 2003 car? Makes sense...

I'm glad it's manual. Beating a 2012 M5 is pretty good. Not that the time around the Nurburgring is the be all and end all.

I'm so/so on the new type R. Torsion beam rear suspension? Kinda makes me wonder what they are really going for. Sure they proved its fast but this is kinda sad and cheap imo. Even the new mustang has independent rear suspension

^ I didn't know about the torsion beam rear suspension setup. I agree, that's pretty weak. But I would still be happy to see it in the states.

Amen. A US version would be a win. They are pulling the old school game. No US goodies hahaha.
