Looking to purchase a 98 civic auto. Guy says trans is slipping can I put a trans for a 92-95 in it did I need anything like axles mounts.I have searched I know it will bolt up just don't know what else I need

Everything bolts up and you can reuse axels, but 96-00 auto transmissions use extra sensors that 92-95 auto transmissions do not have.

 

So more than most likely it will throw codes using a 92-95

 

The gear kickdown for accelerating on a 96+ is done electronically. Its done via a cable on earlier transmissions. So you won't have a gear kickdown.
