I did a search but kind not find information on this, but I recently purchased the optional center ashtray / lighter combo. The seller shipped it to me without the actual tray for the ashtray component. Would another tray from another model such as the 88-91 prelude metal tray fit in here? I appreciate the feedback.

No. EL had 1-DIN pocket.

 

On all of them? I thought I remember seeing a mix between the din and ash tray, however I bow to your Canadian knowledge of the rare and obscure parts so I'm sure you're right

But they didn't come on any us models as well

 

^ All of them had 1-din slot, either pocket or CD player. Ashtray was optional and fit inside one of the cup holders.

OP's ashtray was stock on EDM Civics.
