Is it possible that I bought a batter that is to big for the stock alternator to charge?

 

No. What is your issue ?

 

I had bought a new battery and the car would start no problem for a couple weeks and theN all the sudden. The new battery is dead. Now I can't drive it right now so I've been starting it every other day and moving the parking spots. I have jumped the battery and let it run for 15-20 min. As soon as I turned the car off the battery was still dead.

 

Sounds like the alternator isnt charging the battery. Get a multimeter. Start the car and test for voltage. Write down the voltage reading. Turn on the headlights. Again note what voltage you're seeing. Tell us what voltage you are seeing. Also, does the charging system light ever come on ?

 

The charging light not come on and I'll have to go buy one of those meters. I'll post what I find out soon! Thank.

 

Sometimes people overlook this. If one of the connections at the battery terminal are fault/not making a solid connection to the post then the battery will not properly charge.

 

Yes thats true. However that wont cause the alternator itself not to charge.

 

Correct, it will just prevent the battery from being charged by the alternator.
