Default automatic transmission

I have an auto accord..when I turn the car on, the D4 gear in the cluster starts to blink and stays blinking when yhe car is in use,, what does this mean? How do I turn this off?

There is a stored trouble code, you will need to retrieve the code and fix the problem.

What year is your Accord?

Passenger side kick panel.
Look above it, there should be a two wire blue connector either attached to the wire harness or floating in space.
Use a wire(metal paperclip)to jump the connector.
Turn ignition to II(ON)
Watch the D4 light blinks, record the code produced, long blinks are multiples of 10, shorter ones are multiples of 1.
