mind helping me with replacing a transmission?
hey all whats up just got a 1996 civic 4 door i have not had a honda in a while this civic has a blown transmission its got a d16y8 vtec motor with 5speed manual transmission with hydro clutch. its a car i got just to beat around in and i just want to throw a trans in and take off. So what transmissions will work with this motor will all D series transmissions work? my junk yard has some civics from 1992-1997 dont know what trim style tho.

Try to find a Y8 or Z6 trans for the sake of gearing. The non-VTEC transmissions have extremely tall gearing.
