When I start my car it makes a tapping noise that sounds similar to a push mower. It is also burning a lot of oil (not leaking)
Unsure what is wrong. Sometimes when my foot is not on the gas pedal it also sounds like a whistle (such as cruising or at a redlight) I've listened to vac leak whistling online and it sounds different. Car seems to be running fine. Anybody have an idea? Please save the smartass remarks. I am able to send a clip of one of the sounds by email. Not sure how to upload the clip here.

 

Probably a bent valve or a spun bearing.

Need to do a compression/leak down test.
