Hello all, I have a 95 civic, d15b8, the it starts fine, but it searches for idle, revs keep jumping, and it will not rev past 4k, It's throwing 2 codes, o2 sensor heater, and ECT sensor. I know I can ignore the o2, but will the ect make the car go into limp mode like this? Or is it something else? Thank you for any help.

 

Theres a warm up enrichment the ecu uses the ect sensor for.

If the ecu is getting intermittent signals i would assume its adding and subtracting fuel.

Get rid of the codes then go from there

Ect sensor is free at a junkyard.

 

The O2 sensor code is also making the engine run rich after it's warmed up. That's bad in the long term.
