Default 99 civic IACV gone bad?

99 Honda civic lx. I'm doing a mini me swap, Using a 00 head and 98 intake manifold. Well my question is could my IACV go bad? I've cleaned it did the 2plug conversion. For some reason it makes a annoying beeping sound its sounds louder when I put on the air intake on, is antifreeze suppose to come out when taking off the IACV because mines isn't?

Any CEL's? The IACV won't be the culprit in the 3500 rev limit. Yes, there are two hoses in the back of the intake for coolant to pass through the IACV. When you unplug these are you not getting any coolant dripping out?

What's making the beeping sound, the engine or the IACV?

Is your timing belt installed properly?

CEL code P0335 (CKP SENSOR) I replaced it with an aftermarket CKP sensor I bought at my local advance auto parts store and now car isent going over 3500rpm. Yes, the annoying noise is coming from the IACV

The CKP sensor is inside the distributor housing. Is that what you replaced?

The sensor I replaced was the Crankshaft position sensor which is right next to the crankshaft pulley.

That's the CFK, crank fluctuation sensor. Did you clear the code and is it still popping up? Position sensor is located within the distributor.

This^. You replaced a sensor that has nothing to do with P0335.

Could be, where'd you get the distributor from?

Is P0335 or any other CEL codes currently thrown? If so, post them.

Reset ECU. Run engine. Check whether both codes repeat.

P0335 and P0336 - Use a multimeter to Ohm test the CKP sensor in the distributor.

P0505 - Clean the IACV.

P0108 - Make sure you haven't swapped any sensor connectors and then voltage and Ohm test the three wires in the MAP sensor connector. If all is fine, then replace the MAP sensor. Then go from there.

Ok, so far I've removed the distributor cap for some reason I can't find the srew for the rotor in the distributor. I've cranked it to rotate the rotor and I find no screw. Any suggestions on how to remove the distributor rotor?

Some of them don't have one, try just pulling the rotor off.

Or remove the entire distributor and carefully cut off the rotor with a Dremel tool. Install new rotor with screw.

Luckily I was able to exchange my distributor and got a new one. So far car runs pretty well the only problem is that it sometimes idles a bit but it's not that bad do to the long Y7 throttle body cable and CEL. I reset the ECU Droved it for a good 20miles. CEL popped back up scanned it got code P0505, I cleaned the IACV put it back on still doing the same thing. I did the 2 plug conversion for the IACV, just wanted to make sure the yellow/black wire is connected to the top wire on the 2 wire plug correct?

You are using a Manual P2P ECU correct?

P0505 is never caused by an electrical problem in the IACV circuit.
