93 Honda Civic hatchback won't start. Please help.
I have a 93 honda civic hatchback with a JDM B18C TYPE R swap. The car won't start. It cranks but doesn't start. Everything I've read says replace fuel pump, check fuses, replace pump relay. I've done everything I could find online but nothing has worked. Can someone please help me figure this out? I inherited this car so I did none of the work on it. I'm stuck
When I turn the key it sounds like it wants to start. The fuel pump doesn't prime or make any noise and the fuel pressure gauge at the fuel rail is registering 0..Friday night the car ran fine no problems. Saturday morning no start..
That info would have helped in your OP.
You said you did it all, but lets go again.
Fuses
Check for power AT the pump.
How did you check the relay?
You need to let us know everything you tried.

Yeah forgot that part. I don't know how I can check power at the pump my tools and funds are limited. Bought a new relay and installed it. Also bought new fuel pump (full blown 290-2). It's what was in it already.
Pull the fuse and check it.
To test the pump power, you need a multi-meter or even a test light will do it. Turn the key to run, and see if you have power.
Then we can go from there.

I've pulled every fuse and checked it. Is there a way to check for power without a multi meter or test light? Don't know anyone that has one.
You can get a multi-meter for free some months at Harbor Freight. Otherwise they are about $10 there. Radio Shack prob has a sale on them now too. Frys. Micro Center.. etc..
Its really one of the MOST important tools you will need.
IF you are REALLY that broke, remove your interior light bulb, then take a length of wire, cut it in half, and solder the ends to each of it. Stick one end in the power lead to the pump, and ground the other to the frame (With the key to run) and see if it lights.

Actually, I just bought an LED at Radio Shack for $3 that would do the job. #276-0270
Put red lead on the positive, black to ground and see if it lights.

I read you can jump the #1 and #7pins in the relay plug with a paper clip to check power to the pump....or the #5 to the #7
Obviously the pump won't make noise while its unplugged for testing.
You need to check for power at the pump.
One end of test light to positive, the other end to the body, and turn the key.

Please excuse my stupidness because I don't know correct terms for things but I took the ignition cover off where the spark plugs connect and the screw came out of the thing that spins around I put it back in and the didn't seem to be any damage. Could my timing now be off? Could that be the issue? Pretty sure I'm getting fuel too there engine because when I loosen the fuel line at the pump fuel comes out under pressure
Test lights and stuff like this are useless please dont tel anyone to do this
