Default TEST PIPE doesnt sound right...?

sup fellas,

hoping to get some input here. I just installed a blox adj. test pipe on my em1 and noticed a nice improvement in throttle response. yay.

and I understand that it would make the exhaust note quite noticeably louder. But something just doesn't sound right to me.

Best way to describe it is, it sounds like a pack of loud buzzing bees when accelerating between 2-4k rpm. Another way to describe it, almost like there's something flapping in the pipes.

It sounds perfectly normal at idle and also when i'm revving the car at neutral.

But when im driving the car, it sounds like total ****.

Could this be a sign of a gasket leak perhaps on the test pipe?

thanks for your input.

If it sounds like someone is shaking a coffee can full of rice, then it sounds like it's working properly.

I would advise getting a sticker made that says Bumble bee Tuna on it and putting it on your doors. You can tell everyone that your car sounds this way on purpose because Bumble Bee Tuna is sponsoring you. They'll believe you because the tiny little car is like a tuna can and it sounds like bumble bees.
