I need help right away help would be greatly appreciated, its a 95 Prelude SI 2.3ltr At a dead stop the engine idle drops then it shuts down entirely. My Best guess is the Throttle Position Sensor. PLEASE ANY IDEAS......

Umm I got in, Started it, wait till it warms up then pow I the light comes on, 1 long blink, then 2 short blinks thats all Ive done so far....

- Lift Insifficient Detected
- High Voltage

Probable cause:

EGR Valve (with lift sensor)
EGR valve lift sensor circuit
EGR control solenoid valve
EGR control solenoid valve circuit
EGR line
ECM (ecu)

 

Would this not allow the engine to idle and shut down ?

 

Ok Ive looked into the Throttle Position Sensor and the Stealor wants to sell me the entire Throttle Body Assembly for over 500... WTF ?? Could this entire problem be the EGR ??? Please help !!!!

Ive also done a complete tune up, Plugs. Wires. Cap. Rotor. PCV valve. Fuel Filter.

Please Please Please Help !!

let me know I also have kinda same prob irratic idle unless all electrical devices are on then when coolant fan turns off it acts up again I am going to change the tps on the back of the tbody that's my last option I beleive

 

Guess what man, if you plan on changing the TPS, the Stealor says the entre Throttle Body must be changed as well !!!!

 

That's complete bullshit. You take a dremel and cut slits into the rivets and then you can remove the TPS with a screwdriver. Whoever this Stealor person is they are a tool and know nothing about cars, you give this person money?

Anyways, Why would it be your TPS if you're getting an EGR code? They are not related.
