Default To paint or not to paint, that is the question

Here is my 1995 Honda Civic Hatchback VX. Everything is stock and this is the original paint. It's hard to tell in the picture but the paint is pretty faded on top and on some areas of the car. I am thinking of painting it if not now at some point.

At first I wasn't a fan of red but as time has gone by it has grown on me. If I were to paint it I could repaint it the original color. I like white a lot though. I think white would look good.

I'm not sure if I want to keep it the original color or paint it white. Tough call. What do other people think?

This thread should be on the appearance section.

With that out the way, I would say keep it stock and give it a good buff and wax. I'm all about survivors and that's a perfect example of one.

If you ever wanna sell it, hit me up.

My bad for posting in the wrong section.

That is the other option I didn't mention, to leave it alone. I'm not sure if it would be better and of more value to simply leave it alone and keep it original.

Yeah I am super lucky to have stumbled across this rare gem. I didn't even know the difference between trim models when I bought it and how rare it is to find a vx or anything for that matter that is all stock. I like to think of it as good karma since my last car was stolen. I don't plan to sell it anytime soon but if something changes I'll let you know.

I say keep the original color. Maybe you can just respray the roof? Get paint-less dent removal all around and do a really good detail on it.

I thought about just painting the roof but thought it would be noticeably newer paint than the rest of the body and look funky.

if you just want the roof done you can just cover it with black vinyl wrap or just spray the roof black. cheap alternative if you want to go that route until you paint the whole car.

If you go to a good shop they will blend the paint so it won't look weird. I just had a fender repainted on my hatch at Caliber Collision, and I can't tell a difference.

Took 2-days, start to finish. Make sure windows/trim are masked off well, that was the hardest part.

Plasti dip the roof black, best of both worlds. Vinyl would work as-well but idk what color you would use.

Consider vinyl wrapping the roof before you spray paint it. At least with vinyl, it is reversible. If you do a bad paint job, you're going to have to spend even more time sanding it off, etc.
