Hello... the mechanic tells me I need to replace the distributor for the car. My engine is from a Year 2000, (has a different ECM and everything. Unless they took that and I didn't notice. The disconnected 1995 one, and the year 2000 one. ABS light always on. Anyways...) Is there a "best" distributor to buy?
what engine FFS! "b seriers?" by the sounds it's some b-series tell us which one then get the according distributor. Or is it a single cam d series. you're all over the place and lack of real info is just sad.

Now, let's get to the productive part: Tell me where I can see the "Engine code," as to where it would be, if I were to be looking at the engine, even to crawl under the car.. and I will report back that information.
I kind of want to know what engine I actually have, too. So please help me get the info, so that we can proceed.
And I really do know minimal/not a lot about Hondas, so. Take it easy there. I will pass along the letters and numbers I see. Then I will know. Then I can read. Then I can learn. So, let's get there.
Thank you.
*it is an automatic transmission.
