Default Civic EK4 Dimmer Switch Question

I have a '98 Civic EK4 B16a2, which for some reason didnt come with the dimmer interior light switch, nor with the original foglights, so those two switches have a black cap on them.

I bought the dimmer switch from a scarp yard, used one, with the idea that the cable would be somewhere already wired, but aparently it does not, I checked everywhere and i cannot find any plug with 3 wires that fit the dimmer switch.

Does anyone know if its easy and possible to wire this up?

Strange part comes that there is a plug hanging there, that has the perfect length to be the dimmer one, factory and never used, but it has 5 legs and only 4 of them have wire, i have no idea where it belongs, below are the images..

The two power wires of the dimmer switch run to connector C507. The black ground wire runs to G401.

Ron, thank you very much, that is usefull information, but im not sure i totally understood it. As per those diagram i should need to find the C507 connector with has 20-pin plug, and 3 wires should come out from there ( or i need to wire them if not exist ) to the 3 pin connector of the dimmer ?

will see if i find c507 tomorrow first.

5-wire plug in that location is typically for the cruise switch.

That is a little weird, as mine does not have Cruise, and we all know that involves a little more than the switch/wires, but maybe the wire is there just in case.

What i found interesting is that the hazzard/defrogger switches plug are not always the same, i bough a new one in ebay since mine had scratches and plug doesnt match, looks like there are different years plugs... so maybe the Dimmer switch has the same problem.

This would be my guess also.

Edit - The wire colors don't match and one wire is missing, so it's probably not the cruise control switch connector.

Maybe is the dimmer connector after all, but the connector is not the same between 96-98 and 99-00 years (or between EM1 and EK4 models)... i will try to dig further.

The U.S. and Canada Civic dimmer switches (3-wire connector) are identical for all of these^ years.

Did you locate C507 and try to trace the two power wires back to the dimmer switch?
