I've been googling this and have found no answer.

I currently drive a 2000 Civic Si (Canadian Si = Ej8). I bought the car about a month ago and recently noticed a sound coming from what sounds like the passenger wheel well, or nearby area.

It occurs usually if the car jerks back and forth like when you are in 2nd gear at 1000rpm giving little gas and it starts to jerk a little bit. I can hear what sounds like two large pieces of plastic banging together in the front passenger wheel well area and its somewhat loud from inside the car and out. I haven't noticed anything changing in the way the car drives nor has it gotten louder or quieter, it has just always been there. It does not happen when going over bumps, it only happens when the car bumps forwards or back, not up and down like going over a speed bump.

Until I go get it looked at do you guys have any idea what it could be?

 

I suggest jacking the control arms and work you way to the axle.

 

Okay, you think any of what I've mentioned sounds major? Like am I putting my life at risk by driving everyday or will I be fine for awhile until I get it looked at?

 

if its noise that is accosted with "blipping" the throttle check all of your motor mounts even the torque mounts on the front frame rails. They all probably need replaced.
