Have a 96 accord with a f20b swap. Was a factory auto car switched to 5 spd. Sometimes it wont crank and ill hafta turn the key 20 or 30 times. Battery cable ends were bad so i replaced those made sure they were tight. I can hear a solenoid or what i beleive to b a solenoid on the starter kick in but engine wont spin. HELP please

M2Y4 is the correct transmission code for 97-01 Prelude base's. Use that model's starter. Cross check part numbers, one from an Accord may also work.
Ya m2y4 not m4y2 my fault. Ya local parts store said it was same starter for a stock accord as a stock prelude. Now to freeze my *** off as i change it wen its 20 degree outside
Car wouldnt crank so i put a new starter off a 01 prelude on it. Worked fine for a week did kinda have a slow crank but car would start. Went to start this morning and all u hear is solenoid pop
You can try taking it back and having them test it, if the parts shop you bought it from has such a machine.
If the starter is bad and you warranty it, don't tell them it was put on a swapped jdm engine.
Car is at my buddies shop im done messin with it hopefully he can figure it out. It gets fuel has spark solenoid is getting power but engine wont spin
