i have a honda accord lx f22b2 non vtec around around 180k miles on it im obd1 okay since i got the car like since to 2 years ago i never get to redline that pretty annoying it goes up to 5k exactly likey i thought maybe my cluster was bad but i put a new one on same thing 5k all i go to i had a cel light on yesturday only one code the oygen sensor i fix no cel and still wont let me reline i guess im still running on limp mode how can i remove the limp mode or what could be the problem? any can help me please ?
More often than not issues like this are related to the distributor, outside of the car having vtec, which yours does not.
I would swap out the distributor with one pulled from the junkyard and see if redlines.
It's tough to diagnoses issues like this since there are no codes to point you in the right direction.

Check throttle cable, ensure it is allowing the throttle plate to go wide open, when pedel is to the floor. It may be stretched and needing adjusted.
im changing the fuel filter tomarrow and the injetors if that does fix anything the the thing you told me will be the next thing i fix thsnks to both of you anyone got some options?
Check for any stored codes. Then verify the tach reading with a meter/tool. The tach in the gauge cluster could be reading wrong - would not be the first time. There is a factory test lead for the tach under the hood, too early and too lazy to look up the exact location but I think it is on/near the righ/pass side front strut tower - blue wire that should be capped off.

Before jumping into a distributor, pull your upper timing cover off and check the timing. If the timing belt is off by one tooth, the red line will go down.
