Default Coupe or Hatchback Fuel Tank

Hello guys,

I've got a 1992 Civic DX HB that has an aftermarket fuel cell setup. The car used to be full drag, but I'm turning it back into a street car.

I would really like to get a stock fuel tank, but it's not as easy as it used to be to find shells.

Does anyone happen to know if the 93-95 EX coupe fuel tank will work on the 92 DX HB?

I know the CX and VX tanks are different sizes and I believe the EX is the same size as the DX.

Just curious if anyone happens to know before I buy one and find out myself.

According to Majestic they have the same tank:

'92 DX hatchback- Honda Automotive Parts

'93-'95 EX coupe- Honda Automotive Parts

Even the sedan has the same tank:

'95 EX sedan- Honda Automotive Parts

Yeah, I compared the part numbers earlier and saw they are the same. Just was hoping someone might know from first hand experience.

Appreciate the links and research!

Coupe/hatch/sedan are all the same other than the VX and US CX use a smaller tank.

.... REEEEHEEHEEHEEELLY...

I wonder, will a DX EX HX or Si tank mount up on a US spec CX without any fab or MAJOR changes? I'd love a few extra gallons.

just get a new aftermarket one, can't even get one from pick a part because a lot of times they puncture the tank to drain it, no one will need a tank, just poke a hole in it. they do the same with oil pans, idiots. it's SO hard to undo a drain plug, oh and the one in Tallahassee wants 38 bucks for a tank with a hole punched in it.
