1995 Honda Civic EX with Engine swapped out
I just bought a 1995 Honda Civic EX that was made in Canada but doesn't have the original Engine 1.6L L4 SOHC 16V
but had a Vtec engine. I have no idea how many liters or any of specs on it. Is this a common swap? Also cruise control is not working could have been just simple disconnected while swapping and forgotten about? Does anyone have the mechanics manual for this car?

Google will be your friend for the manual.
As for the engine and how to identify it, you can find a ton of information to help you in the FAQ sticky at the top of this forum.
In particular "How to determine your engine code" link in the faq section 5 under general information that may be of interest to you:

It is a D series engine 1.6 L VTEC. Code that I could read was D16Z(6)or (5) I couldn't clearly make out the last digit. I've been googling for the manual but all I could find was the user manual that isn't very helpful because a lot of this car has been altered.
yes that is true but this civic was built in Canada and had 16V this is according to my vehicles VIN#... Plus the guy who sold it to me told me that they took out the original engine.
16V just means it has 16 valves. Almost all 92-00 Civic engines have 16 valves. That doesn't mean much if anything from an identification standpoint. The D16Z6 is the standard engine that came in your car from the factory. If the PO took out the original engine, they either put it right back in, or they put another of the same engine in.

Engine 1.6L L4 SOHC 16V (NON VTEC)
What is in there now has VTEC and I know there are slight differences between the two types.

The block code is clear. Now you need the head code:

I'm not sure where you're getting this information (specifically the bolded part) or how it's relevant. The 92-95 EX and SI both came factory equipped with the D16Z6, which is a VTEC engine. What's more, the non-VTEC 1.6L engines were not used until '96.
If it's a 1.6L 5th gen motor it's the D16Z6. Where ever you pulled your info is mistaken.
4 motors for the 92-95
D15B8, D15B7 - Both non vtec
D16Z6 and the D15Z1 - Both vtec motors (vtec/vtec-e respectively).
The only 1.6L motor of this generation in North America is the performance vtec motor.
