Default F22b2 to vtech swap

I have a 94 accord with a f22b2 non vtec engine with nearly 300k on it. I found a wrecked (rear hit} 95 accord with a vtec engine with just 120k on it that the engine looks like it was build a month ago. Would the vtec just drop in with no modifications or would it be a tough swap?

You just need to add the two vtec wires and pick up an external to internal coil distributor subharness from rywire along with the b1 distributor.

If you don't have an aftermarket exhaust manifold/header. You might want to see about grabbing the 4-2-1 manifold, down pipe and flex pipe from the 95EX. Better performance than the 4-1 manifold on the LX/DX F22B2.

If you already have a 4-2-1 or other aftermarket header for your F22B2 it will bolt right up to the F22B1 swap.

You can run your B2 distributor on the B1 if you swap around the plug wires. You will need to use the B1 plug wires though. Saves you from having to use the B1 distributor and buying an adapter harness.

Thanks for the info. I don't have a header but I am buying the whole car. It was hit hard in the rear and the body is pretty much toast. Car has been well taken care of.

If you are getting the whole car you should be fine. You will have everything you need for the swap. You'll take the exhaist from the EX from the manifold to the cat - the EX has a second O2.

The only thing to be sure of - is the trans between the two the same.....auto to auto or manual to manual? If so, again the donor car will have everything you need for the swap.

Now I will say that you might think about the maint stuff on the EX - timing belt and such, tune up, ect.

As long as it's FOR the F22B1 or F22B2. F23A1's will bolt onto the engine, but where it connects to the catalytic converter/exhaust will not work(with factory/bolt on exhausts) as it's different.
