need p28 chipped for stock d16Y8 manual....

From what I have been reading, and believe me I have spent hours on this, I need a p28 ECU chipped and programed to run the D16Y8 in my 93 EG.

Car had a P06, but it's crap. board has a cap broken and burn damage from that cap.

Parts car (98 civic EX) has the p2p.

My main question though is who do I get this from that I can trust and who is not going to bend me over? Being the engine is going to be the stock engine, no turbo or any real changes, can I just tell them to program the p28 to the same mapping as the p2p and be done with it or?

I know this is being covered all over the place, but it would be nice to just get a clear answer and a link to a source or 2 that I can goto right now and order it and be done.

Thanks!

Check the sponsors like phearable, they may be able to help you out.

I was thinking call your local tuner and see who they recommend as they might know who'm they've had the most success with.

I doubt there is a local tuner in Chattanooga. Atlanta sure, but that's 2.5 hours away from me. I don't need some special tune here, it's a stock engine going in. So I was asking who I could just order a p28 with a stock tune for the d16y8 already on it, that I could simply put in the car and call it a day.

Looks like the first place mentioned had one for around 175 bucks that will do the trick.

I never said anything about tuning it. But calling the tuner(s) closest to you to see who they recommend getting a chipped ECU and basemap from is a good way to get leads.

Phearable should be just fine, however, I thought you might want some other possibilities to compare with. A tuner should know who's in the business and who has been good from their experiences. From there you can call and compare to see what or who will work best for you.

Right now you only have one option.
