I am looking forward to redoing the bottom end in my car, i have all the parts bought they include eagle rods and je pistons, does anyone know of a good shop in the surrounding chicago land area that can install these besides apg,(theives)

The only shop in Chicago area that i would let touch my car (that is if I had to let a shop work on it) would be Garage Kwai in Arlington Heights. The are the best Honda tuning shop around that area.

 

Yeah Garage Kwai is for sure one of the best shops for Honda/Acura performance,Benson and Pinyo are really cool and they know what they're doin, there are also a some other shops in that area. one6 just opened up and the guys there are totally cool, my one friend ordered a b16 from them and got it within like a week and a half, no problems with it so far. Also there is Evolution, never really been there before, but i've heard good things about them. Some of the shops that i wouldnt let touch my car though are probably like APG in woodfield and GRD in naperville, i've seen some pretty bad work come from both of those shops.

 

there a machine shop that can put it together for you. it's called opel engineering i think one of my frined sent all the whole engine to him and had it back within a week. it's somewhere in barrington.

Yes, GRD is a hack shop that charges like they are pros.

 

Kingmotorsports isn't to far away.

 

there's also AMS, 2442 E Oakton Street in Arlington Heights, good for dyno tuning.
