Default Oil pressure help

I have a speed hut electric oil pressure gauge and I had it straight on the block for last 3k miles but had a slight oil leak so I got a firewall relocation oil line and tee but now it it reads low oil pressure. I've check the ground several times and grounded straight to the battery with no change. There's no kinks or sharp bends In the oil line. I hope it's only the gauge and not actually low oil pressure. Before with the engine warm psi was 1000rpm idle 25psi and 3000rpm 55-60psi now idle 18-20 3000rpm 40-42. The engine is a turbo d16y8. Can anyone please help or give me some ideas. Thanks

I don't see how the electric gauge would all of a sudden start reading the wrong psi. Have you done the basic checks to see if indeed you do have an oil pressure issue? How old is the engine build itself. Also, are you sure there is not still a leak somewhere in the engine? If it is a severe leak in a poor location, that could cause pressure bleed off I suppose.

There's about 3k miles on this build. I've let it set and idle and drove about 20 miles and checked oil it hasn't lost a drop and no leaks at the block or the tee. I can't figure it out

Just "rent" an oil pressure tester from Auto Zone and see. Good thing is you don't have to buy the tool and after taking it back, you get your money.

Is it possible that the extra 20" of oil line caused the pressure to drop?
