I have a 2000 Accord LX Coupe that the Brakelamp light indicator comes on and then stays on when I depress the brake pedal. The left inner brake light works, but it doesn't light up brighter when the brakes are applied, could these problems be related? Also, I know that one of the wires is loose within the inner brake light connector, could this be the cause of both problems?

Yes it could. I think the bulbs are double type, meaning they serve as running lights and brake lights. Pull the sockets and check for corrosion and/or broken filament inside the bulb.

 

Thanks, maybe I'll try replacing it with the correct bulb this time. I had a spare bulb, but that may not be the correct one for it.

 

Yep, replaced it with a 3057 bulb, and that did the trick!
