I just bought the civic and found that it's stuck on vent.. I checked mode motor and it fine along with the cable and as far as behind the glove box everything (to my knowledge) is also moving but it's not switching to defrost
I need it on defrost for all of this cold weather

 

How do you know? What did you do?

Try this:

 

I watched the mode motor and cable and they worked fine so I checked behind glove box and things were working their also but not changing

I could here it going through the steps but no dtc

 

Maybe a mouse made a nest inside the heater or blower unit. Drop the blower motor down and look/feel inside.
