Del Sol Hood adjustment
93 Del sol Si stock drivetrain and body.
Never wrecked
The hood has play in it when closed. Thinking it is slop in the hood latch.
I adjusted the hood bumper stops up enough to get the play out but then the hood sits about 1/8 above the fenders on both sides and the bump stops are run almost all the way up.
the latch is all the way down. Thinking I'll need to replace the latch or striker
I can't find a part number for the striker on the hood (the actual latch assembly I can find).
Not sure if the loop part originally had a plastic sleeve or rubber around it that is now gone.
Any suggestions on how to tighten it up?

I think I might have figured it out. I had some time tonite to work on this. I ran both rubber stops all the way down. hood sat below the fenders and had some play in the latch. raised the stops a little at the time till the hood was at the correct height. Still had a little movement but also notice the stops are essentially hard no give at all. Might need to replace them with some that haven't hardened from age. Had to do that on the trunk last year.
