Default Need quick answer bypassing heater core on B20b EG!

Doing a b20b swap , car has no heater core or anything under dash . I was planning to remove thermo housing and weld the one port shut .. Is this correct in doing so ? I will leave one hose from intake manifold to thermostat housing and weld other shut ? Just making sure this is correct.
Thanks guys !

Why wouldn't you just use a U pipe on the rubber hoses that would normally connect to the firewall heater core metal pipes.

That way the option to add the core in later is still open?

Not exactly sure what you mean .. The thermostat housing has 2 ports .. One hose goes from one port to the intake manifold .. So what exactly do I do with the 2nd port ? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I thought Welding that other one shut would be a solution . Car is not going to have heat back in it

You should be thanking ThunderCat, he gave you a hint. Not sure how you missed it.

Granted this is from the stock EG/EH motor but should be relatively the same on the B20B I would think. Stock motor has three ports. You say you only have two. But I'm also counting the port to the radiator itself.

Loop it, instead of hooking up to a heater core that is not there..

Thanks a lot . Appreciate the help man. You are correct . I wasn't counting the port to the radiator itself . I went and got some 5/8 heater hose and ran from thermostat housing to the port near radiator hose so all should be well.
