Hi there, I own a 98 honda civic EX. I recently installed new brake rotors, pads, brake shoes and drums. Pads and shoes are Honda Genuine, rotors and drums are Fremax. Did everything by the book, greasing, torquing, etc.

I did the bed in procedure and after some days I have been listening to a rear driver side knock while braking a bit hard. This will happen with brakes as well as the handbrake. The sound is rythmic with the speed of the car.

So far I tried:
- Moving the drums left to right (& vice versa)
- Rechecked adjusting star
- Shortened a bit the upper return spring.

I am really lost on this one and getting really tired of taking the wheel out several times. Any ideas on what could be knocking?

One thing that I should try is to replace the lower return spring but I dont think its weak.

Jack the rear up, support on jack stands, 3 clicks on the emergency brake and go back there and try to rotate it.

Raining a lot right now. What should I expect by doing this? Will do it as soon as it stops pouring.
