Hello, so I was replacing my air filter on my 04 and I noticed that the vehicle has two out of three upper vtec solenoid bolts missing, not sure how since the vehicle gets driven once a month . I wanted to see if anyone knows the exact size and thread pitch so I could go to a local hardware store and purchase two more? I called honda and they can't give me info but they said the bolts come with the whole vtec solenoid

The closest I can get I'm searching was M6 x 1.00mm x 50 . Not sure if that's correct

Take the one bolt you do have to the hardware store, find a nut that matches and then bolts that match that nut.

 

It is a 6mm x 1.00 (fine) pitch bolt... however, the thread (shank) length is not 50mm. It is more like 15-18mm in length. Take the remaining bolt and measure from under the bolt head to the end... and then buy some bolts to match. You can even get them from the dealer if you understand the part number architecture... discuss it with the local Honda parts counter staff.

 

Part 30 on the diagram according to my data is:

Honda Part # 95701-06050-08.

86¢ each. Ya need three (3).
