Icon2 suspension issue

Hello there, I'm new to this site. And was wondering if I could get some help. I put tanabe sustec lowering springs on my front end only yesterday, and it said they were 2' lowering springs. Well it dropped from 16 inch to 12 inch. Bare in mind I have done the rear yet. Question is, when I do the rear will the front pick back up again?

Did you make sure the front springs were for the front of the car and not the rear?

Yes, I was told the bigger aftermarket well longer go to the front and shorter in the back.

Are you measuring from the center of the wheel fender arch, or the front bumper?

Why are you not measuring from the ground?

I use the gold spring on mine. Dropped it about 1.5 inches. Also, I use the green springs in the rear. I did this to try and get the drop the same in the front and rear. For some reason Tein springs lower the front more. But from what I can tell, their springs drop the car pretty much as they advertise that they do. Just one other thing. The height is also controlled by the position of the spring mount on the shock. Is the shock the same one you were using before you changed springs?

Fitz, how do you like the tein springs, and what shocks did you go with? I'm lowering mine as we speak (waiting on my order to arrive) but I want a level look. How did yours turn out?

What I was trying to do was to make the rear a little stiffer to reduce some of the understeer. So I went with the slightly stiffer rear. I first used Skunk2 shocks. The ride was bad, so I went with Koni on the front to see if there was any difference. I kept the Skunk2 on the rear. For all the bad-mouthing about Skunk shocks, I really haven't had any problems. At least not yet. The ride didn't change. It just that the roads around here are so bad that anything that increases the spring rate will kill the ride quatity. If I had it to do over, I would go with Koni from the start.
