18's on a 92-95 civic?
anyone ever put or have 18's on a 92-95 civic coupe or hatch? i want to get some centerline rpm's weigh only 14.5 pounds for 18s, but i dont know if they fit and if they do will it cause some problems? i have the car lowered 2 inches with intrax springs, so any info would be great thanks
I know the scene isn't really go for big wheels over there in the US, but over here in the UK, you've gotta have big wheels.
I personally think it'll look good, some will argue with that though. Basically its down to you.
I think there would be some rubbing problems, but only 'cos of the large drop.
Look at getting the fendes rolled, maybe knocking back the ineers, that should sort it!
Cheers

Basically, if your a young driver over here (-25) your looking at being fucked by insurance companies if you touch the engine. So its gotta be all show.
I'm looking at squeezing 19's or 20's on an EK at the moment!
I say go for it!

Just everyones opinions are different.
Some people want all speed, some want show, and some both!
I've not got a choice, i'm 17 and pay a **** load in insurance over here in the UK on a shitty 1.4, if I had anything else I couldnt afford it!
So i've gotta go for show, until I'm older!

I am also from the UK and am running 17's on my 95 coupe, I agree that over here it does come down to looks a lot, however I have been looking at some of the cars on this forum running 16's and think they look good, so much so I am considering getting some 16's, which will also eliminate my problems with rubbing.

I know a local "rice boy" who has a 92 civic dx with a greddy turbo, its pretty cool til you see that he has 19" wheels.
The car looks higher than stock and its still tucking tire.
I laugh everytime I see it.

hey man I am running 18" racing hart M5's on my 95 coupe, with the ground controls set down about 2.8" below stock i dont rub a bit. I dont know what the offset if on the centerlines, but if they are the same as racing hart's then you should be fine. I think it looks great but my car still isnt low enough. I want 17's, so if you want my rims and tires I'm selling them for 1100 (sorry for the classified plug)
cool, thanks for the info guys, ya i know a lot of people on here like the 15's and the 16's. i currently have 15's and i am upgrading. i do appreciate all the comments and i will have to see what i will have to do bout rolling the fenders and whatnot. im gonna get em, and see what happens. i got em pretty cheap so im pleased. thanks again guys and ill show all who are interested when i get em on
A guy I know has 18's on his 92 CX hatch and the thing not only looks ridiculous, but the rears rub even at stock height. It might just be that the wheels he has are really wide and the offset isn't right, but I dunno, it still looks totally ridiculous. Even after lowering the front (couldn't lower the back from stock, he'd be rubbing just driving down the road), the car still looks like a 4x4.
Good luck... 18's on a 92-95 civic just aren't right. Way too big for such a small-bodied car.
