Question about 2002 Accord EX 3.0 V6 Engine
Hello Honda-Tech forums.
I recently lost a 2002 Accord EX 3.0 V6 in very good condition to a car wreck. The engine, however, was not damaged
The vehicle was damaged to the point of repairing making no sense, and I had several questions.
1). How difficult would that be to migrate to a 2003 Accord that had the same sized engine? (or is that even possible? Doesn't seem like it would be).
2). How advisable would it be to take the engine and put it into another 2002 Accord?
Thank you for your help

1) Engine in yours is J30A1, engine in 03up is J30A4/5 which is different enough to not be a direct replacement.
2). If you can find someone who has not done proper maintenance of their '98-'02 V6 Accord then that would be an option.

If yours experience is minimal find a replacement 01-02 for more direct fitment. In 2000 I think the migration took place from distributor to DIS.
Unless your moving to a Type S or another high-output engine, you swap makes little economic sense. I must say though, many Honda owners make little economic sense.
