Icon2 witch tranny to use

okay i dont know if this post belongs here but iam hoping someone can give me some imput. So i'm currently building a hp compression B20v and i was wanting to know what would be a good transmission to use? Currently I have a YS1 cable transmission but i dont know witch one i have. I'am assuming that I have the LS version since the the vtec version is hard to come by. Is the YS1 that I assuming I have a good transmission for my build? or should i seek out a different one?

You need to confirm what trans you have before you start jumping to any conclusions and spending money on stuff you may not need.

Open the case and count the final drive gear teeth. This will tell us everything we need to know to ID if it a LS or Vtec trans.

YS1 is a good staring point if you are rebuilding since the hydro gears fit in it, you have more options buying new parts than the 90-91 cable trannies.
