i have the entire internals of a 92 ls cable trans. i broke the case many years ago and took the insides.

i also have a bare hydro case. can i use the shift forks, shifter and reverse apparatus etc from the 92 cable trans in the hydro case? just trying to get a spare trans out of random parts lying around

As long as it's a 92-93 ys1, all of the internals will swap over to a hydro casing. In fact I've done this exact thing numerous times to make a buck. Hydro transmissions sell for more money

It is a 92-93 it has the same splines on the mainshaft for the clutch as a hydro trans.


Now I get to mix match gears from my box of random transmission parts maybe make a hybrid of some sort depending on what motor it's gonna be used for

Make sure for each gear that you use the countershaft and mainshaft gear from the same tranny. For example don't use a countershaft 2nd gear from one ls tranny and a mainshaft 2nd from another ls tranny.
