How's it going fellow Honda enthusiasts? I have been piecing together this build for quite sometime. I have a F22a block that was given to me in a trade for some S2 cam gears (whole engine actually) and I decided to make good use of the factory sleeves on it. I bought a built H22 p13 head from a buddy with all S2 internals took everything apart and I ended up selling the bare head to buy a PCB manual f20b head. I knew the combustion chamber and the bore of the block where both 85mm so I thought I would do a G22 build using a F20b head. So far no after market parts (AEM, S2, Injectors, header etc) but will get some soon.
One question I do have is I know the valve seats on the H22 are 1mm bigger on both the exhaust/intake side so is it possible to machine my f20b head's valve seats to H22 specs with no problems? If anyone has done it please let me know. I tried to look it up online but came up empty handed
Future parts I plan to buy...
- Low comp. 4G63 pistons (85mm bore)
- Crower/Eagle rods
- AEM fuel rail
- Port lower half of my intake mani
- Walboro fuel pump (255lhp or higher)
- ID 750 injectors
- Hondata S300
- H22 Dizzy
- H22 wire harness
- Turbo mani (love fab etc)
- IC and piping
- Tial BOV waste gate
Marking where the custom water pipe (half H22 and half F22)
Still waiting on my custom F22 water pump with a H22 gear pressed on.
Do it man I was thinking about doing a G22t but I didn't want to bore out the sleeves 2mm since leaving it at 85mm is a little added insurance then I found out the combustion chamber on a F20b head is 85mm so that'll mate up perfectly with my f22a block. Some people say "why not just buy a whole f20b and turbo" but I want the most bang for my buck I'm looking to put down at least 400whp if more good. Best of luck 👍
