Default 2000 Integra Type R (FBP)

Just a quick question...I was thinking about selling my 2000 Type R. I am the original owner, completely stock, never wrecked, never modified, never stolen/recovered, all original paint and body panels, pristine condition, interior still smells new. She only has 19,233 miles on it. A dealership only wants to give me $6000-$8000 for it and I almost laughed at him. Question is...what do you guys think that I could actually/realistically get for her? Thank you for your input in advance!

Truly pristine condition, <20k miles, collector quality car = Definitely in the high teens.

Where would be a good place to post it for sale to get maximum price do you think?

Maximum? Ebay sense ppl can bid. Forums require a price. And take quality pictures.

I see a lot of WTB ads recently for clean titled Rs recently and not enough of them for sale. These cars are now fifteen years old and I believe the prices for clean unmolested examples or original partially restored examples will go up. I think the ITR market will mirror what has happened to e30 M3s. There's probably a lot of guys out there now in their 30-40s willing to drop the money on the car they always wanted when they were younger but couldn't afford it at the time but have the means now.

There was a black R with double your mileage IIRC from AZ, but it had a sketchy story behind it and had some body flaws on ebay. I think asking was 20, but personally I could see the right buyer putting money into the car to make it flawless.

I can see you having a $25K car easily, if not more if you have all keys and the window sticker. You could ask MSRP with a straight face too or be the first put one on Barrett Jackson.

dealership will never give you top dollar for it. they will buy it for 8000, and flip it for 13K and up. I still don't think it has been long enough for people to appreciate the car yet.

Definitely worth high teens if not low 20's. Lots of peeps looking for low mileage examples right now so shouldn't be too hard to get top dollar.

Sounds like the guy went to nada guides and just typed in the info you gave them. I get 6-8k too on nada guides. Kbb says 16k but info is limited.

Any reason why you never drove the car? It's a little under 1,400 miles a year.

Put the car up on ebay, but I would like to see this car at Barrett-Jackson, or RM.

I'd check on ITRCA.com for feedback on price and list it there as well. There are always folks looking for a low mile, clean example.

Thank you all very much for taking the time to reply and for your input...I highly appreciate it. It will be hard to sell it, but I have had it for 15 years now. I heard from the dealership today....he told me that his boss only offered $3000 for my "old car." The salesman basically talked himself out of a sale because was too high pressure, wanted me to trade my car in and sign on the dotted line without even test driving the new car or having it checked out by a mechanic or a body shop! He actually asked me why I would take it to a body shop and how they could tell me if it was a good car to buy or not! I'm like....WHAT??? You really asked me that question? Today I officially told him that I backed out....and he started insulting me. Case closed.

I'm not a dealer. I'm just a private buyer. I've been looking for a 2000 or 2001 Type R for a while now. I'm assuming yours is very clean because it has low miles on it. That's what I'm looking for. I have cash in hand. Please e-mail me at asmarrazzaq@msn.com and we can talk more. Thanks!

I purchased my 2000 FBP ITR with 37 miles, bone stock, 1 owner for 17k. The interior is collector's quality, but the exterior could use some love here and there. If yours is mint, showroom quality then expect 20k+. If not, 17-20k. My thoughts.

Anybody can put a number out there but unless that BUYER comes through it's all talk. It depends when you're trying to sell the vehicle and how fast. A vehicle that is all original and matching vins, panels, pristine condition, etc etc is definitely worth good $. If you could hold onto it for 20 years you might have some serious $. At the moment I see the ITR and Honda game as a very soft market but ITRs are at the peak of the soft market so high teens is probable. Ebay or craigslist or possibly autotrader would be your best venue of selling. However people are sketchy so you have to deal with that aspect of selling a Gem. Which might make Ebay the best place since the buyer will doubtfully be local.

Pic's would be nice and would allow op's to give you a better answer on value.
