Icon6 Honda Accord Battery and charging problems

Hey I am having a problem with my 99 honda accord coupe 2.3l 4cyl...I was driving earlier when i hit a pothole and suddenly all the lights on my dash came on except the abs.. check eng and maint serv lights were already on. A couple weeks ago this happened but my abs light turned on also and the battery kept dying. I replaced the terminal and at the time had my alternator checked and it was fine. What could this be?? Did my alternator go? Did the cable wires get loose maybe. The car made me home. When i got there I took off the negative battery while car running and it shut off. I heard that's a way to check the alternator Maybe my battery no good? Got it charged at auto zone a couple times. I know its a long read but I cant figure it out. Plz help

Is your battery tied down ? How do the battery terminals look, in terms of corrosion and tightness ? How new is the battery ?

Never take off the negative cable while the engine is on. Its an urban myth that you can test an alternator that way.
