Another Starting Problem
2003 Accord LX wont start. Changed the Starter about a year ago, battery is 2 years old and checked out fine. Got in the car the other day, started right up but the radio went out and the ABS light came on. Kept driving and it worked fine and radio came back on. Stopped and the car wouldnt start, not even crank over. Got a jump and was able to get home. Tried starting the car later and it started right up! The next day went out and it cranked but wouldnt start, tried to jump it again and now it wont even crank up. Lights, radio, windows all work fine. Hope its not the starter again, any ideas?
Sounding like it may need an ignition switch. When the "weird" things start happening again, try wiggling the key or applying light pressure to it as if you were going to turn it to lock (without actually going all that far) and see what happens.
I've seen the electrical portions of the switch go bad and do weird things. My old Accord (89) in cold weather would act up and starting the car I had no heat or radio, when I wiggled the key I could sometimes get the heat and radio back on.
