Default POWER BAND LOCATION?

Hey guys I havent been in the honda scene very long so I thought id ask. I gotta d16y8 in my del sol and I just ordered these power bands for it. My question is where do they go? I mean I know they are part of the engine but do they connect to the pistons or something? And do I gotta pull the motor to put them in?
Adjustable Powerband - $95.99 : KaleCoAuto.com, Your home for the rare, unusual, and hard to find auto parts.
I'm hoping for a gain of 80hp but I wont know till we hit the dyno.

I've never installed them but I've been told that they hook to the bottom of the piston's to pull them down faster. plus when vtec kicks in they tighten due to the lack of oil pressure. I also herd they were a pita to break in. you gotta rev them to a solid 5k for 10 mins.

This is new to me. Did you read about them or were they recommended by a friend? Are you skeptical?
