Default I'm an oil burner; passed compression test, doing consumption test.

well my mom took my car to the dealer back home, and they tested the compression in two of the cylinders, which checked out okay. They're having us do ANOTHER consumption test, and the car's got 650 more miles till we go back. Also, I figured out that if I were to wait 7500 miles between oil changes...the oil would be gone. Kinda funny. Just felt like sharing. Peace

Why would go 7500 miles before an oil change? You should actually be going around 3000 miles before changing your oil.

yea no ****. if your runnin it 7000 miles on an oil change no wonder why its dissappearing its to damn thin.. do a wet/dry compression test and do a leak down test too.

Guys I think he is talking hypathetical situation, hopefully no one is dunb enough to wait that long to change their oil. I'm guessing that he just did mathamatical modling in school or something; I remember when I did I figured up all sorts of equations to predice how things would occur. Just a guess though..

most likely he is waiting 7000+ mile to change his oil, b/c that is what Honda recommends

EDIT: my mom's 2001 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 calls for the oil to be changed at a whopping 10,000 miles

That 7000 mile oil change is under normal conditions though. I always used the severe condition maintenance schedule because I floor the car a little too often and just think it's safer.

But yea, I think he was talking hypothetical figuring out how much oil he's burning for every mile.

Yeah, the recommended change period is 7*** miles. That was just something I figured out to tell Honda, 'cause it's a damn strong point to make. they only tested two cylinders for compression tho, don't know if that is normal or not. Anyways, peace.

If your car is boosted it couldn't possibly be that could it?

If you are lucky they will replace your motor under warranty. If they do, ask for the old one back. They dont pay a core charge on it, and after a month or two Honda will send them a notice that it is OK to dispose of it. I got one that way from work and sold it on Ebay for $500. I could have gotten more but I disclosed the problem, and hey, it was pure profit.
