i want to keep the matching vin tags on the engine
If i swapped complete itr internals into the block and head and used first gen blox manifold
Would i be able to run it properly with stock usdm itr ecu

have you actually ran it with a wideband?
how do you tell it runs great?
because ive seen people say gsr runs great with stock b16 ecu... and even b16s running"good" with stock p28

No wideband, but not butt dyno either. I have ran it on an obd2 b16,gsr and now type r ecu. Smoothest throttle, idle, cruise of all was with p73. I know it runs a little rich due to fuel consumption (280 tank vs 300 on p2t) It makes the more power because I can drive up my hill in 4th where I was stuck between high rpms in 3rd or gutless 4th on p72 ecu. So while not entirely scientific, all of my subjective results have been repeatable.
Running oem injectors with oem parts, oem ecu is fine for now.

Technically the only difference is the runner angle and combustion chamber on gsr head.
I just have a feeling that it might have lean/rich spots throughout the higher rpm
and maybe alot of fuel trim in closed loop

u give this a try yet? my friend just picked up a cdm p73.
as said i bet you could mess with fuel pressure just a tiny bit and get it to work reasonably....

ok, like ******* .2 of a compression point. knock back the distributor .5 degrees to compensate which the knock sensor will do anyway if it knocks. conversely, the quench on the gsr head is a better design...

that's what my main concern is the quench area and port angle but I guess ill be the first one lol
I was hoping to find someone who done it and tested it
I have everything to tune the car. so if anyone has done it and wants to street tune it with wideband ill be willing to do that just to test. seattle area
compression is not a problem to match with thicker headgasket
or by using jdm gsr pistons
