1999 Accord LX code 1457
I searched the forum before posting this and didn't find what I was looking for.
For quite a while I've had the 1457 code. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the part that is usually the problem per Service Bulletins 01-011 and 03-001. Of course, the code came back after a while. I tested the new part and can activate it with voltage. I don't know if the replaced part was bad.
Besides checking for a leak somewhere in the lines, is there anything else it could be that I could check out? Can the canister itself go bad and how would I test for that? It's not driven in a corrosive environment and there is no corrosion.

Look for posts from "phootbag" on this subject. Way more info from him on this than you'll ever want to know.
There are two valves - too lazy to look, a vent and a shut - and then add that yes the canister can have damage. There are the lines that can leak....and believe this or not, even spider webs can cause an issue,,,yes there is a kit from honda to revent spiders from getting in there and building a web.
