I was taking the the top of the engine apart to replace the valve cover gasket, forgot to disconnect the battery like an idiot, so when i went to take off the bolt from the stud sticking out of the alternator it sparked, i then disconnected the battery and i continued with the job replaced the gasket and put it back together but now only the horn works, nothing happens when i put the key in or the on position , no lights either
I AM DOING THIS FOR A FRIEND AND HE NEEDS HIS CAR BACK ASAP SO ANY QUICK HELP IS APPRECIATED

 

Check the fuse box under the hood. There's an 80A fuse there that can break when terminals touch.
