Will manual steering rack from ef civic fit on ek?
My time has finally come where I found a steering rack that I can use... Or so I think. Will a manual steering rack from an ef civic fit on my ek its a 98 civic ex. Please let me know.
Nope subframe it mounts to is different. You'll have to use a 96-00 Civic or swap to a 92-95 Civic/94-01 integra and use one of those.
if you use a manual steering rack you need the manual subframe with it!!
if you have a power steering subframe now, you can only use the power steering rack.
why are you looking for a new rack?? whats wrong with the old one?

That's not true for the EK. I swapped a power rack in mine and only used the rack and the "gear" that hooks to the steering wheel and rack. All the brackets are the same as well.
my apologizes!! i used a dc subframe on my civic and from my previous research i read that manual and power steering subframes are different.

I am switching because power steering was deleted when I bought my car and I don't want it back I like it... But my rack itself is bad and has a major dead zone In it and I can't keep buying new tires every year. Haha so I would rather change it over. Just too poor to afford a brand new manual rack from rock auto for 174.
