Default EK4 Headlight Questions, Experiences

I'm looking to change the headlights of my EK4 and the first problem I'm facing is the difference between headlights for 96-98 models and for 99-00 models,
Besides the stylish differences, will both headlights fit the car? because I'm still not certain if mine is year 98 or year 99, it was registered on 99 but built on 98 most likely... how i can be sure it will fit?
I'm talking of a 4 door sedan model, EK4, VTI 1.6L DHOC Vtec

Also, anyone have experience with these aftermarket projectors headlights? Quality wise specially, I want to read some feedback of good/bad ones that have been already in use, so far i have found a lot on ebay but they look cheap,

1999-2000 Honda Civic Angel Eye Halo & LED Projector Headlights
are these any good in quality/price? any good advice on which one should i get?

You cant swap headlights unless you change the:
Hood
Bumper
Fenders
Rad support(im not sure)

You have a 99-00? If so, ill buy your stock headlights.

Unless they are retrofitted with proper projectors, the output on those "projector" headlights are reported to be pathetically poor, even with one of those plug-n-play HID kits..

for almost the price of an HID retrofit such as this Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1). , those headlights will be absolute garbage, possibly worse than stock.

I bet mine is 98 but it was registered in 99 so that's confusing.. I need to check the part number on the stock headlight if they have. Is there any other better way to distinguish them?

I don't plan to swap them. Just buy the correct ones but they both looked the same shape to me...

theretrofitsource.com

Give them a call. They'll tell you the hardware you need, then just follow a writeup like this one to install it. It's custom work, and at the end of the day, there is no "one size fits all" how-to for doing it.

As for what year your car is, post a picture of the front end and we can tell you real quick what it is. Alternatively, there's a sticker inside the door frame - it'll have a bar code, your VIN number, and your manufacture date in month/year format. If it's in the last two months of 98, it's a 99. If it's in the first 10 months of 98, it's a 98.

i'll check the link. Thank you very much. Just can't believe that doing a custom retrofit and modifing the headlights is still better than get an aftermarket ones already built. I know most of them are chinesse plastic crap but there has to be some good ones right?

Anyway, mine is definitely a 98 model. The VIN says so. Here is a quick link to a facebook pic. Hope it works as its the fastest i can share from my cellphone ...

Link doesn't work. Yes, a custom retrofit will be better. There's all of ONE company out there that has ever made good projectors, and they don't make them anymore. They're basically impossible to find, and if you do, be ready to shell out a boatload of cash for them.

Finally here is the image, sorry for delay, it should work now.
It doesn't even have the OEM headlights at the moment, it has some cheap Depo brand which are supposed to be replacements, but they are slightly different.
I do have the originals ones but they are like wear off, burned by the sun, so the prev. owner decided to switch them.

Order this:Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1)

SUPER easy install... Hardest part is pulling the lense, which isn't even that hard.
